Professionals clean oriental rugs by using the various steps in their process. Professional cleaning starts with a dusting/vacuuming to release dry embedded soil, once the dirt is removed and the rug is inspected with good lighting, all spots and stains are pre-treated to break down the staining. The rug is then evenly washed with rug shampoo and soft brushes. The soap and soil is flushed out of the rug with cold water. Once the water is extracted and the rug is 80% dry, it is groomed with soft brushes and hung in a special drying room where industrial equipment and fans quickly make the rug 100% dry. After this process is complete, a certified rug cleaning techician performs a quality inspection, performs the final detailing, and packages the rug for delivery or self-pickup.
