Wool
Wool carpet is soft, resilient and luxurious. This type of carpet can be installed throughout your home and is often used in rooms that get high traffic. Although more likely to stain than synthetic carpets, wool is hydrophobic which contributes to its ability to repel spills and accidents. if spills or accidents are not likely to happen, this is a good option for durability and feel.
Nylon
From dense to plush, nylon carpets come in a variety of options. Higher quality nylon carpets can feel just as soft as wool but have the added protection of being easier to clean. Great for rooms where you need durability and softness, but may also get accidents such as spills.
SmartStrand
This unique fiber developed by Mohawk Carpet is completely stain resistant, with some styles even resisting things like pet stains, or even bleach! Certain styles can feel even softer than the higher end wool carpets, but you’ll find it for a fraction of the cost.
